The “collection only” problem
Plenty of the best deals are listed collection-only, especially on eBay, Facebook Marketplace and AutoTrader private sales. That’s no help if the car is 200 miles away and you can’t easily get there — or the car can’t safely make the trip back.
Why not just drive it home?
- It needs to be taxed and insured in your name to drive away legally.
- You’re trusting an unknown car on a long motorway run straight after buying it.
