Vehicle Recovery in Tottenham, Including Match Days

It is quarter to seven on a Saturday, the High Road is closed from Northumberland Park to White Hart Lane for a home game, and your car has just cut out on Park Lane with sixty thousand people walking past it. That is the Tottenham job in its purest form, and it is why we keep drivers on the N17 side of the borough rather than relying on someone coming up the A10 from Stoke Newington.

K9 Recovery is a 24/7, 365-day recovery company with its largest concentration of trucks in London. There is no membership to buy and no queue to hold in. Ring 07301 118118, tell us where you are and what you drive, and you get a fixed price before anyone sets off.

Three ways a Tottenham breakdown usually goes

The gyratory at Tottenham Hale

Monument Way, Broad Lane and Ferry Lane still function as a loop around the station and the retail park even after the two-way changes, and a stalled car on the inside lane blocks the bus stands within minutes. We come in from the Ferry Lane side, load on the retail park service road where possible, and keep the A503 moving.

Seven Sisters and the A10

The junction of Seven Sisters Road, West Green Road and the High Road is the busiest crossing in the area, and the A10 Great Cambridge Road to the west is a fast dual carriageway with cameras and no room to pull over. On the A10 we position the truck behind you with the beacons on and lift straight from the lane. At Seven Sisters we tend to move you off the junction first and load around the corner.

Northumberland Park and the stadium

The industrial units along Willoughby Lane and Marsh Lane run a lot of vans, and on non-match days that is straightforward recovery work. On match days the stadium closures start hours before kick-off; we know the stewarded cordon and which approach from the A406 or Lansdowne Road will actually get a truck to you.

Vehicles we handle in N15 and N17

  • Cars, 4x4s and prestige or classic vehicles
  • Vans up to 3.5 tonnes, covered in detail on our Tottenham van recovery page
  • Electric vehicles, always on a flatbed rather than towed on their driven wheels
  • Motorcycles and scooters, secured properly rather than strapped as an afterthought
  • Taxis and private-hire cars that need to be back earning
  • Caravans, motorhomes and non-runners bought at auction

Beyond the nearest garage

We do not stop at the borough boundary. If the vehicle needs to go to a specialist in Enfield, a dealer in Hertfordshire or a yard in the north of England, the same booking covers it. That is what 3,000 vetted drivers across the UK are for. Anything larger than a van, up to around 30 tonnes, goes to the London heavy team. The concentration of trucks in London that makes all of this possible is also why Tottenham gets the fastest response we can offer anywhere in the UK.

The small print, without the small print

Every driver we send is fully insured. Our rating stands at 4.9 out of 5 from more than 200 Google reviews, and a good number of those were written from the A10, the A406 or a car park at Tottenham Hale. Tottenham sits within our wider London vehicle recovery network, so if you are calling from somewhere between here and the North Circular, we still have you.

Tottenham drivers ask us

Spurs are playing at home and the High Road is closed. Can you still get to my car?

Yes. The closure is stewarded rather than physical for most of its length, and recovery vehicles are let through on the routes kept open for service traffic. Give us the street you are on and which side of the stadium; the driver will approach from Lansdowne Road or the North Circular end accordingly and will tell you roughly when to expect him.

I have broken down on the A10 Great Cambridge Road with lorries passing at speed. What do I do?

Move as far left as you can, put the hazards on, get out on the passenger side and stand behind the barrier if there is one. Tell us your direction and the last junction you passed. We treat the A10 as a live-lane job: the truck comes in behind you with beacons running to shield the lane while we load.

My van has died in the Tottenham Hale retail park. Is that a straightforward job?

Usually, and often the easiest one on this page. The retail park has room to get a truck alongside and we can load off the service road rather than the gyratory. Tell us whether the van is in a bay or at a loading door so the driver knows how it is positioned before he arrives.
