Imported a vehicle, or bought one that’s sitting at a UK port or storage compound? Getting it from the dockside to your driveway is straightforward — here’s what to know.
Ports and compounds we collect from
We collect from all the major UK vehicle ports and nearby compounds — Southampton, Portsmouth, Dover, Grimsby/Immingham, Sheerness, Bristol, Liverpool and more — and deliver anywhere in the country. A long run is often cheaper than you’d expect, because there’s usually a driver heading that way already.
It doesn’t have to be running
Freshly landed imports often haven’t been registered, taxed or insured for UK roads yet — and some won’t start after sitting on a ship. None of that is a problem. On a flatbed the car is fully insured in transit and never turns a wheel on a public road until it’s legally yours to drive.
What you’ll need
- The port or compound name and postcode.
- Any release paperwork or reference the site needs to hand it over.
- Your delivery address and best contact number.
- Whether it starts, rolls and steers — so we bring the right equipment.
Timing and access
Ports and compounds keep set release hours and sometimes charge daily storage, so it pays to book collection promptly. Tell us any access notes (height limits, booking-in times) and we’ll work around them.
